Punishing punishment is a tool used by teachers to deal with undisciplined
students. Discipline is a condition created and formed through a process and a
series of attitudes that demonstrate the values of obedience, compliance,
orderliness, and discipline.
Discipline refers to adhering to school rules. At school, there is an obligation to
comply with school regulations. Many students disobey these rules and are
punished by teachers. The research question in this study is: Is the implementation
and effectiveness of punishment effective in improving student discipline at
Darussalam Pungging, Mojokerto Middle School? The purpose of this study is to
determine the effect of punishment implementation, the level of discipline, and
the effect of punishment on student discipline.
The research conducted by the researcher focused specifically on the
implementation of punishment to improve student discipline at Madrasah
Tsanawiyah Darussalam Pungging Mojokerto.
In this study, the researcher sought to gather relevant sources through interviews,
observations, and documentation. This is consistent with descriptive research,
focusing on field research.
The implementation of punishment at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Darussalam already
has a sound system, as evidenced by the frequent use of pedagogical punishments,
aiming not only to discipline students but also to educate them. Furthermore, the
researcher's research indicates that the implementation of punishment at the
school has a positive impact. Many students feel deterred, thus preventing them
from repeating the same mistakes, and they become accustomed to a disciplined
attitude towards school rules
