Abstract

The Qur’an is a universal guide containing noble teachings for all of humanity. In an effort to instill Qur’anic values from an early age, various learning methods have been developed, one of which is the talaqqi method. This method involves the direct recitation of the Qur’an from teacher to student, allowing immediate correction and accurate pronunciation imitation. This study aims to describe the implementation of the talaqqi method in improving the fluency of Qur’anic memorization among early childhood students at Griya Qur’an Al Manar Ponorogo, as well as to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors involved. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation through triangulation. The results show that: (1) The implementation of the talaqqi method is carried out in three stages: preparation, execution, and evaluation. This method has proven effective in improving children's memorization quality, particularly in pronunciation and recitation fluency, although challenges such as limited concentration, pronunciation difficulties, and lack of active parental involvement still exist. (2) The success of this method is supported by strong motivation, a conducive learning environment, and synergy between teachers and parents. Thus, the talaqqi method can serve as a strategic alternative for holistic early childhood Qur’anic education.
