Abstract
This research aims to examine how Islamic Religious Education is implemented for children in farmer families in Karangasem Village, Kutorejo District. The background of this study hilghlights the importance of the family’s role, especially parents, in instilling islamic values from an early age, particularly in rural communities where most people work as farmers and have limited time and access to formal education.
This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews and documentation of several farmer families in the village. The results show that Islamic education is imparted through daily routines such as encouraging prayer habits, reciting daily prayers, introducing hijaiyah letters, and involving children in religious activities such as Islamic study groups and Qur’anic learning (TPQ). Despite obstacles such as parents’ limited time and lack of facilities, the enthusiasm of parents to guide their children in religious matters remains high,
