STRATEGY FOR INSTILLING RELIGIOUS VALUES AND MORAL CHARACTER BASED ON THE MERDEKA CURRICULUM FOR CHARACTER BUILDING OF EARLY CHILDHOOD AT KB AL-MUHAJIRIN

This study aims to identify and analyze the strategies used by teachers to instill religious values and moral character based on the Merdeka Curriculum for children aged 3-4 years, who are still focused on learning through play without coercion. Because by applying strategies suitable for the age and character of early childhood, teaching and learning activities will effectively fulfill the dimensions of graduate learner profiles. Educators adjust learning achievement indicators to the developmental stages of the students. It is hoped that learning through play will not cause fear or trauma but instead enable joyful, meaningful, and compassionate learning experiences.
This qualitative study was conducted at KB Al-Muhajirin. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was performed systematically through several stages: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification.
The results showed that the strategies applied by the teachers were effective and positively influenced the character development of children from an early age through habituation and role modeling, educational and interactive activities, as well as cooperation with parents at KB Al-Muhajirin, especially for children aged 3-4 years.
