Abstract
Biomass boiler plant is a boiler that uses biomass as a source of combustion for its function as a steam generator used for production processes such as heating processes and other production needs. With the many needs, several companies in Indonesia are trying to innovate technology in terms of combustion efficiency, pollution control, and energy management, therefore several factories choose to build biomass boiler plants as boilers with higher efficiency levels and lower emissions. In the process, biomass boiler plants cannot stand alone, electricity is needed to drive motors, power supply controls, sensors and others. This study presents an electrical system design for a 9-ton biomass boiler plant using ETAP 16.0.0 software. Through a comprehensive analysis, an optimal system design is obtained by considering aspects of safety, efficiency, and reliability. The simulation results show that the designed system is able to operate stably and reliably under various load conditions. This design is expected to be a reference in designing electrical systems in similar factories.
