Abstract

Tofu industry liquid waste in Jogoroto District, Jombang Regency causes problems related to river pollution and air pollution because no treatment is carried out before the waste is discharged into the river. This research discusses the filtration of liquid waste from the tofu industry for clean water treatment, which aims to determine the levels of DO, COD, BOD, TSS, and TDS in the tofu industry waste in Jogoroto, Jombang Regency before and after filtration; assess how effective filtration of liquid waste with a filter composition of gravel, palm fiber, and charcoal is in neutralizing the DO, COD, BOD, TSS, and TDS parameters of the tofu industry in Jogoroto, Jombang Regency; and design a suitable infiltration well design for tofu industry wastewater treatment in Jogoroto, Jombang Regency. It was found that the filtration process effectively neutralized DO levels by 52.3%, COD by 71.6%, BOD by 53.7%, TSS by 38.9%, and TDS by 40.5%. In this research, infiltration well design was also carried out as an output that can be applied to the tofu industry in Jogoroto District, Jombang Regency
