IMPLEMENTATION OF THE JOMBANG BERKADANG 2023 PROGRAM IN ADDRESSING STUNTING IN JOMBANG DISTRICT

ABSTRACT

The Jombang berkadang program is a regional medium-term development plan program for Jombang Regency in 2023 to address regional problems and development. The program is the vision and mission of the Regent and Deputy Regent of Jombang for the 2018-2023 period. The vision and mission become policies used for regional development during his leadership, and every policy made is in line with central government policies. One of them is for handling stunting problems in Jombang Regency. Stunting is a failure to grow at the age of under 5 years. Factors that influence mothers during pregnancy are malnutrition, toddlers under 2 years of age are malnourished, environmental sanitation and economic factors. The theory used by this study uses the theory of public policy implementation from Van Meter and Van Horn, every policy made there are indicators of the policy, namely the size and objectives of the policy, policy resources, inter-organizational communication, attitudes of the implementers. This research uses descriptive qualitative research with data collection methods through literature studies and field studies through interviews. To analyze the data using Miles' theory to analyze by reducing simplified raw data, then arranged clearly and logically and draw conclusions with new findings. The result of this study is that the implementation of the Jombang Berkadang program policy has succeeded in reducing the number of stunting in Jombang Regency from the previous year. The policy is carried out by intervening specifically on toddlers by providing additional nutrition to toddlers directly. The inhibiting factor of this research is the attitude of implementers at the village level, and lack of collaboration with parties who understand better to deal with stunting problems.
