This research examines the influence of parental social support on vocational school students' career maturity. The meaning of this research is that career maturity is an important factor in developing the careers of the younger generation, especially vocational school students who are preparing to enter the world of work. Social support from parents can play an important role in helping students prepare for careers and develop self-confidence. The influence of parental support plays an important role in adolescents, especially in vocational secondary education. At this point, the ideal is that teenagers are able to determine their career choices. However, in reality, not all teenagers are able to make the right decisions without the influence of social support from their parents. They often feel confused and insecure about their career choices.
The method used in this research is a quantitative method with a simple linear regression design. This research uses a Likert scale questionnaire followed by validity and reliability tests. The subject of this research is the eleventh year. Thus, the number of samples collected was 181 students using the Slovenian language formula. Data analysis uses normality tests, linearity tests and hypothesis tests with the help of simple linear regression tests. SPSS 23 for Windows.
The research results show that the identification of social support on vocational school students' career maturity provides valuable information about the factors that influence their professional development. However, it is important to consider these strengths and limitations so that research results can be translated into useful and useful practice. The results of data analysis show that the F test results show that the calculated F value is 23.845, which is at an important level. A value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a sig value of less than 0.05 means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that social support has a significant effect on career maturity.
The author can provide suggestions that can be used as recommendations for various parties, suggestions and input of scientific information that further clarifies concepts and theories regarding the determination of social support on student career maturity and can be used as suggestions as a basis for future research. It is more practical and can help other researchers to carry out further research.
