THE COLLABORATIVE ROLE OF KPU JOMBANG AND STAKEHOLDERS IN INCREASING POLITICAL PARTICIPATION IN THE 2024 ELECTION IN JOMBANG REGENCY

Elections are a means of achieving citizens' rights, namely in determining leaders both at the national and regional levels. This study began with an interest in increasing the number of political participation in the 2024 elections in Jombang Regency. Therefore, this study aims to determine the collaborative role of the Jombang KPU and stakeholders in increasing political participation in the 2024 elections in Jombang Regency and how the Jombang Regency community responded to this role through qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach. This study uses Herbert Mead's symbolic interactionism theory which explains the five stages of individual action, including: stimulus, impulse,
perception, manipulation, and consumption. The results of this study are that the Jombang KPU provides stimulus or stimulation by carrying out face-to-face socialization and socialization through social media. In addition, the
collaborative role of the Jombang KPU and stakeholders includes political parties, the media, disability groups, Islamic boarding schools and the police. In response to this socialization, voters listen, understand and then consider their decisions in participating in politics which then makes the number of political participation in the 2024 elections in Jombang Regency high.
