Abstract

Children who come from broken homs often face complex emotional and psychological challenges, and emotional uncertainty can have a significant impact on the development of their self-efficacy. The role of parent in forming self-efficacy in these children is very vital. This is especially important in the context of children from broken home who may feel unsure about themselves and their abilities. Some children from broken home backgrounds have the ability to survive difficult conditions and respond positively. The aim of this research is to determine the profile of self-efficacy in children from broken home at Madrasah Aliyah, and to determine the role of parent in managing self-efficacy in children from broken home at Madrasah Aliyah. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method with a case study approach. The subjects of this research are 3 students of MA Mamba'ul Ma'arif Denanyar Jombang whose family background are broken home but had good self-efficacy with the encouragement of family motivation. The process of searching for data is through interviews, field notes and documentation because the results will be compiled systematically and are easy for everyone to understand. And use a credibility test. Based on the results of research and discussion, it is stated that motivation from parent is the main driver that can help children identify and overcome personal obstacles that influence the self-efficacy performance of children from brokenhome.
