PERAN PEMERINTAH DALAM UPAYA PERCEPATAN PENURUNAN STUNTING DI KECAMATAN MOJOWARNO TAHUN 2023

Stunting is a condition experienced by children which is also caused by insufficient nutrition in pregnant women, resulting in the birth of babies with unstable growth conditions. In overcoming the problem of stunting, the government has a role in efforts to accelerate stunting reduction. The purpose of this study is to find out how the role of the government in accelerating stunting reduction in Mojowarno District, this location was chosen because it is included in the area where the community experiences stunting. To find out the role of the government in accelerating stunting reduction, researchers used descriptive qualitative research methods. The data collection technique in this study was interviews with 6 resource persons consisting of nutritionists from the Mojowarno Health Center, the coordinator of family planning in Mojowarno District and the people of Mojowarno District. Mojowarno District is one of the areas that experiences stunting loci in Jombang Regency. The role of the government in efforts to accelerate stunting reduction in Mojowarno District is quite significant, namely the government provides assistance capital for people who have stunted children, provides stunting discussions, the government also approaches cadres and the government conducts socialization and healthy kitchens to overcome stunting.
