THE ROLE OF VILLAGE GOVERNMENT IN OVERCOMING PHOTO VICTIMS IN GAMBIRAN VILLAGE, MOJOAGUNG DISTRICT, JOMBANG DISTRICT

Termination of Employment (PHK) is a complex problem, because it is related to economic and psychological problems for workers affected by layoffs. The problem occurred at the feed company PT CJ Feed and Care Indonesia which is domiciled in Mojoagung Village, which experienced a drastic decline in turnover due to the pandemic, so that in 2022 and 2023 it will gradually carry out mass layoffs. Even though 80 percent of the employees at the livestock company come from Gambiran village, Mojoagung, so there is an economic burden on the community. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach using in-depth interviews and participant observation as data collection techniques. Meanwhile, the technique for determining informants for this research uses purposive data analysis technique and uses triangulation as a technique for checking the validity of research data. Meanwhile, based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that (1) The role of the Gambiran village government in overcoming the problem of mass layoffs carried out by PT. Cj Feed has a participatory role, meaning that the village government, which was initially criticized strongly, took part in overcoming this problem by providing intensive facilitation with the company and employees from Gambiran village through various agreements. Apart from that, the village government's role in overcoming this problem is by distributing employees to formal and informal jobs, including making policies that are able to create jobs for affected communities through various forms and programs. (2) The concrete result obtained from the village government policy was a reduction in the economic pressure that was initially felt, because the impact of mass layoffs meant that the person concerned had no income to support family life. Although it is acknowledged that the results currently obtained are still far from the monthly salary when you were an employee because some are 3, 4, to 5 million per month, while the current salary or independent business that you are running is around 1.5-2.5 million.
