Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of keroncong music therapy on reducing stress levels. The subjects in this study were students of MAN 4 JOMBANG. The hypothesis proposed is: There is an influence between music therapy with a decrease in stress levels. The population of this study were students who participated in the paskibra extracurricular program. While the number of samples in this study were 60 male and female students, who were taken with Purposive Random Sampling technique. The independent variable in this study is keroncong music therapy, the dependent variable in this study is stress level. The statistical analysis used to test the hypothesis is the independent t-test of repeated observations. Based on the results of the analysis, the value of t -1.770 with one-tailed p = 0.041 (p <0.05), Mean A1 = 70.33 and Mean A2 = 75.82. This means that there is a difference in stress levels between before and after keroncong music therapy, where the stress level after therapy is higher than before therapy. Then the hypothesis is rejected.
