Abstract
This research aims to determine the effect of the discovery learning model on students' understanding and creativity in the Nahwu science subject. This research was carried out at the Miftahul Huda Islamic boarding school in Central Lampung from June to July 2024. This research used quantitative methods with a quasi-experimental type involving one group with pretest and posttest testing which were analyzed using the paired sample t test. The population in this study was 26 people so all of them became the sample which is called total sampling. The results of this research show a very significant improvement. The influence of the discovery learning model on students' understanding of the Nahwu science subject showed an increase from previously an average of 59.23 to 90.26 with test results t = 10.414 (p < 0.05). Meanwhile, the influence of discovery learning on students' creativity in Nahwu science subjects increased from an average of 59.23 to 90.26 with test results t = 9.861 (p < 0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that the discovery learning model has an influence on students' understanding and creativity in the Nahwu science subject.
