Abstract

ABSTRAK
Jombang Regency is a regency located in the central part of East Java Province, its capital is Jombang District. Jombang Regency has an altitude of 44 meters above sea level, and is 79 km southwest of Surabaya, the capital of East Java Province. The area of Jombang Regency is 1,159.50 km². In 2024, the population of Jombang reached 1,376,547 people, with a population density of 1,187 people/km2.
In Jombang itself, there are many channels or rivers that flow, therefore it is necessary for the Irrigation Service in Jombang to monitor areas prone to flooding, one of which is in the Darul Ulum Islamic boarding school area.
There may be several areas that are included in flood-prone areas, for the Irrigation Service UPT CUKIR, one of which is in the Pulorejo dam and BRA II.13, due to the lack of understanding of responsibility for environmental cleanliness, garbage accumulates in the channels which causes flooding during the rainy season
