ABSENSI KINERJA DOSEN MENGGUNAKAN QR CODE BERBASIS MOBILE DI PASCASARJANA INSTITUT KH.ABDUL CHALIM MOJOKERTO

ABSTRACT

Attendance can be interpreted as a sign of someone's presence to be able to indicate that someone has made attendance which later the results of attendance will be made into an attendance report for companies, factories, hospitals, schools and colleges that make attendance as a sign of attendance. In accordance with current technological developments, the attendance process has also developed a lot, starting from a manual system to a computerized system as it is today. In educational institutions, including tertiary institutions, attendance plays a very important role in supporting development, attendance can be said to be the most important assessment of a lecturer because if a lecturer has problems with his presence then of course it will also affect the assessment of the work. Lecturer attendance and lecturer performance are generally still done manually, which is very inefficient because information about attendance can be fraudulent from the lecturer himself who is wrong in taking attendance from his performance. Therefore, it is very necessary to apply a technology that can help the attendance process in higher education. So that it can improve the quality of the system on attendance services and performance on lecturers. In this study, an attendance system will be designed that can be done using an android smartphone by utilizing the camera system to read the QR Code. QR is an abbreviation of quick response or quick response, which in accordance with its purpose is to convey information quickly and get a fast response as well. So the Android owned by the lecturer can be used to read the QR Code that is displayed to carry out the attendance process and fill out the performance journal after teaching. In this study, the method used is the waterfall method using Unified Modeling Language (UML) modeling. Then this application was designed with the help of tools from Android Studio and MySQL. This application was built with the aim of making attendance easier for lecturers' teaching performance.
