The Role of Islamic Religious Education Teachers in Shaping the Morals of Class 3 Students at SDI Sabilillah Cukir Diwek Jombang, Islamic Religious Education Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Religion, Darul Ulum University, Jombang, 2023

Morals are very important for the life of every Muslim, both personally and in society.
Therefore, every aspect of Islamic teachings is oriented towards fostering and forming noble
morals (karimah). Based on the background above, this research aims to describe the role of
Islamic religious education teachers in shaping the morals of Grade 3 students at SDI Sabilillah
Cukir Diwek Jombang.
This type of research is qualitative, taking the background of SDI Sabilillah Cukir. Data
collection was carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation. Meanwhile,
data analysis uses qualitative descriptive analysis techniques through data reduction steps, data
presentation and data verification or drawing conclusions.
The results of the research can be concluded that Islamic religious education teachers in shaping
student morals at SDI Sabilillah Cukir Diwek Jombang have an active role as role models for
students by displaying good behavior, good speech, neat in dressing, honest, respectful and firm
in all things. . This can be seen from the strategies, coaching and habits or examples carried out
and exemplified by Islamic religious education teachers towards students. From the results of
interviews, observations and documentation that the author has carried out, it shows that the
morals of students at SDI Sabilillah Cukir Diwek Jombang are quite good. The driving factors in
developing student morals are the example of teachers, parents, and cooperation between
madrasa staff. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factor is the influence of online games and friends.
