Abstract

This study aims to determine the understanding of high school students at the Thoriqul Ulum Pacet Mojokerto Islamic Boarding School about early marriage and its impact on family life. knowing the causes of early marriage among teenagers, and effective educational methods in educating high school students at the Thoriqul Ulum Islamic Boarding School about the importance of careful marriage planning.
This study used a mixed method approach with a population of 150 students and a sample of 20 students. The data collection technique used questionnaires, in-depth interviews and observation.
The results of this study indicate that the majority of high school students at Thoriqul Ulum Islamic Boarding School have a good level of understanding as much as 76.8% regarding the concept of early marriage and its impact on family life, the main factors that cause early marriage among adolescents are environmental influences, economic factors, and lack of knowledge about marriage planning, and the religious lecture method has the highest effectiveness in increasing students' understanding of the importance of careful marriage planning.
