Abstract
Employee leave approval is a crucial part of human resource management within government agencies, including regional hospitals. Ploso Regional General Hospital (RSUD Ploso) still uses a manual system for the leave application process, resulting in delays, recording errors, and a lack of transparency in the approval process. This study aims to design and implement a web-based employee leave approval management information system to improve the efficiency and accuracy of leave management. The system development method uses the Waterfall model, which includes requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The system was built using the PHP programming language and a MySQL database. Testing was conducted using black-box testing to verify system functionality and the System Usability Scale (SUS) to measure ease of use. The implementation results showed that the system is capable of centrally integrating the leave application, approval, recording, and reporting processes. The average SUS score of 79.4 falls within the Good category, indicating that the system is easy to use and well-received by users. Therefore, this system can be an effective solution for digitizing leave approval management at Ploso Regional General Hospital and has the potential to be implemented in similar institutions.
