Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Tasmi’ method on the fluency of Qur’an memorization of female students at Al-Husna Dormitory, Darul Ulum Islamic Boarding School Jombang. This research is a quantitative study. The population of this study consisted of all 37 female tahfidz students at Al-Husna Dormitory, Darul Ulum Islamic Boarding School Jombang, with a sample of 20 students taken. The data collection methods used were observation, interview, questionnaire, and documentation. Meanwhile, the data analysis was conducted using statistical methods with the product moment correlation formula.
The results of this study show that, based on the product moment correlation analysis, the effectiveness of the Tasmi’ method has a correlation with the fluency of Qur’an memorization of female students at Al-Husna Dormitory with a correlation index (rxy) = 0.59. This result can be interpreted at the 5% significance level = 0.4438 and at the 1% significance level = 0.5614. Thus, it can be seen that rxy is greater than the significance level, meaning that the null hypothesis (H0), which states that the Tasmi’ method is not effective on the fluency of Qur’an memorization of female students at Al-Husna Dormitory, Darul Ulum Islamic Boarding School Jombang, is rejected. Meanwhile, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Therefore, the results of the above test indicate that there is a positive influence of the effectiveness of the Tasmi’ method on the fluency of Qur’an memorization of female students at Al-Husna Dormitory, Darul Ulum Islamic Boarding School Jombang.
