Penguatan Karakter Religiusitas Siswa Melalui Pembisaan Mocoan Kitab Lontar Yusuf di Sekolah Adat Osing Pesinauan Desa Olehsari Glagah Banyuwangi

Muhlis Effendi: Strengthening Students’ Religious Character through the Habituation of Mocoan Lontar Yusuf at the Osing Traditional School Pesinauan, Olehsari Village, Glagah Banyuwangi, Academic Year 2024/2025, Islamic Education Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Studies, Darul ‘Ulum University Jombang, 2025.
Mocoan Lontar Yusuf is a cultural heritage of the Osing tribe in Banyuwangi that must be preserved. One way to maintain this tradition is by implementing the habituation of Mocoan Lontar Yusuf at the Osing Traditional School Pesinauan in Olehsari Village, Glagah District, Banyuwangi Regency.
This research aims to explore the religious values contained in Mocoan Lontar Yusuf, to analyze its implementation at the Osing Traditional School Pesinauan, and to identify the challenges encountered during the practice.
The study employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, conducted in the setting of the Osing Traditional School Pesinauan. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis was carried out through data condensation, presentation, and conclusion drawing.
The results indicate that: (1) Lontar Yusuf embodies profound religious values, including faith and monotheism, sincerity, and social harmony; (2) the habituation of Mocoan Lontar Yusuf is carried out through routine practices, spontaneous practices, structured programs, and exemplary models; and (3) the challenges include the influence of technology, limited understanding of the values within Lontar Yusuf, difficulties in reading pegon script, and lack of motivation.
