The Transmission of Sanad Qira>'at Sab'ah in Indonesia (A Case Study at Pondok Pesantren Hamalatul Qur'an Jogoroto Jombang)

This research discusses the Transmission of the Sanad Qira>'at Sab'ah (The Seven Canonical Readings) at Pondok Pesantren Hamalatul Qur'an Jogoroto Jombang. Several aspects are discussed, namely the history of the entry of qira'at sab'ah into Indonesia until its arrival at Pondok Pesantren Hamalatul Qur'an, and the transmission of the sanad qira>'at sab'ah at Pondok Pesantren Hamalatul Qur'an.
This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study research design, a descriptive type of research, with PP. Hamalatul Qur'an Jogoroto Jombang as the research subject, and the transmission of the sanad qira>'at sab'ah as the object. The data sources for this research are the kyai (religious leader), ustadz (teacher), administrators, autobiography, history of the pesantren (Islamic boarding school), and other supporting documents. Data collection techniques include: literature review, interviews, observation, and documentation.
The research findings at Pesantren Hamalatul Qur'an Jogoroto Jombang show: First, the beginning of the entry of qira>'at sab'ah into this pesantren started with a student named Faiq Faizin who was sent by KH. Ainul Yaqin to continue post-tahfiz (Qur'an memorization) education at Pesantren Pasca Tahfiz Bayt al-Qur'an Center for Qur'an Studies Jakarta in 2013. After completing his post-tahfiz study, he continued the qira>'at sab'ah recitation (setoran) to KH. Muhtadi Mukhtar at PP. Madrasatul Qur'an Tebuireng and completed it in 2017. Second, the process and stages of the transmission of the sanad qira'at sab'ah at Pondok Pesantren Hamalatul Qur'an have two stages: the stage of learning the rules of qira>'at sab'ah and the second stage of recitation (setoran) to a teacher who already has the sanad qira>'at sab'ah. The learning of the qira>'at sab'ah rules is carried out through the daurah (intensive course) system. The methods used in the qira'at sab'ah recitation are the al−Ifra>d, Jama’sugra> and Jama’kubra> methods, using the guidance book Faid\ al-Bara>ka>t fi> Sab’ al-Qira>’at by KH. Arwani Amin Kudus.
