Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between phubbing behavior and
social interaction among students in Jombang. The proposed hypothesis is that
there is a relationship between phubbing behavior and social interaction among
students in Jombang. The subjects in this study were students living in the
Jombang area, with an age range of 18 to 25 years, totaling 81 respondents. The
data collection technique was carried out online through a Google form using a
Purposive Sampling technique. Based on the results of the Pearson Product
Moment correlation test analysis, the correlation coefficient (rxy) value was
obtained at -0.104 and sig 0.178 (p > 0.05). This means that there is no
relationship between phubbing behavior and social interaction among students in
Jombang. Therefore, the hypothesis in this study is rejected.
