Abstract
The construction industry is developing rapidly along with technological advances. This is accompanied by an increasing number of resource options, materials, and work methods available for construction projects, which naturally aims to improve the quality and quantity of work. This allows project managers to choose a specific construction method from several alternatives. One effort undertaken by project managers is to replace conventional methods with new, more modern ones. One such effort is the innovation of the plate method using panels as an alternative to the conventional plate method From the results of the study, it was found that the calculation of the conventional floor slab work RAB for a 2-story office in Kediri city was Rp. 222,061,956.76 (from MC-0%) and the actual cost of the work was Rp. 199,113,443.36 (from MC-100%) with a difference of Rp. 22,948,513.40 RAB there was a reduction in volume and cost of 10.34% from the MC-0 budget plan. Meanwhile, to calculate the cost of the panel plate there are 2 ways, namely using the AHSP panel plate & using the price from the service provider. For the cost of using the AHSP in Kediri city is Rp. 241,018,994.48, while using the cost from the service provider is Rp. 170,400,000.00. To compare the cost of conventional plate work with panel plates, it is calculated based on the most efficient cost in calculating the cost of the work. For the cost of the panel plate is Rp. 170,400,000.00. With the actual cost of conventional floor slab work (MC-100) of Rp 199,113,443.36, this means a ratio of 14.42%. Therefore, panel floor slab work is 14.42% cheaper than conventional floor slab work.
