Peran Sektor Pertanian Dalam Mendorong Pertumbuhan Ekonomi Dan Pengentasan Kemiskinan Di Kabupaten Jombang

This study aims to analyze the effect of agricultural sector production and farmers’ terms of trade on economic growth and poverty alleviation in Jombang Regency during the period of 2015–2024. The research employed a quantitative approach with an associative research design. The data used were secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency, covering the contribution of the agricultural sector to GRDP, farmers’ terms of trade, economic growth rates, and poverty levels. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS software. The results of this study indicate that both partially and simultaneously, agricultural sector production and farmers’ terms of trade do not have a significant effect on economic growth or poverty alleviation in Jombang Regency. This is evidenced by significance values greater than 0.05 in the regression tests and low coefficients of determination, indicating that the independent variables in this study explain only a small portion of the variation in the dependent variables. The conclusion of this study suggests that although not statistically proven to be significant, the agricultural sector and farmers’ terms of trade remain important for the people of Jombang, and thus require attention in the formulation of regional development policies.
