Divorce cases increase every year in the city of Jombang City, East Java. This research aims to determine the problems and causes of divorce in 2024 at the Jombang Religious Court, East Java, using a qualitative approach and case study method. Data collection techniques in this research are interviews, observation and documentation. The research results show that there are two main factors that cause the most, namely constant disputes and quarrels and economic factors. Continuous disputes and quarrels are caused by neglect of household obligations, financial problems, domestic violence, sexual incompatibility, excessive feelings of suspicion and jealousy and incompatibility, reduced feelings of love, intolerance between partners, having other lovers and other causes. such as feelings of not being appreciated and a crisis of trust in your partner. Meanwhile, economic factors are caused by neglect of household obligations, gambling, reduced feelings of love for one's partner, intolerance between partners and other causes such as poor communication.
