ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to analyze and evaluate the role of the Village Community Empowerment Institutions (LPMD) in enhancing community participation in various aspects of village development, particularly in Pandanwangi Village, Diwek Sub-district, Jombang Regency. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The informants in this study include members of LPMD, community leaders, and residents of Pandanwangi Village who are involved in LPMD activities. The findings indicate that LPMD in Pandanwangi Village plays a significant role in encouraging community participation. LPMD successfully organized various empowerment programs that directly involved the community, such as skills training, social activities, and health programs. Community participation has increased due to effective communication between LPMD and residents, as well as transparency in the management of funds and programs. However, the study also identified several challenges faced by LPMD, such as limited resources, low awareness among some residents, and bureaucratic obstacles. In conclusion, LPMD in Pandanwangi Village has a vital role in enhancing community participation, although capacity building and further support from the government and other relevant parties are still needed. This study recommends strengthening LPMD capacity through training and increased access to resources, as well as raising community awareness of the importance of participation in village development.
