THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN HEDONISM LIFESTYLE AND STUDENT CONSUMPTIVE BEHAVIOR IN JOMBANG

This study aims to determine the relationship between hedonistic lifestyle and consumptive behavior of students in Jombang. The research design used is a quantitative approach with a type of correlational research that aims to find out whether there is a relationship between research variables. The subject of this study involved 109 students at several universities in Jombang. The data collection technique was carried out online with a google form using the purposive random sampling technique. Based on the results of the analysis of the Rho Spearmen correlation test, the value of the correlation coefficient r rho = 0.637 was obtained with a significance value of 0.000 (ρ<0.05). This shows that there is a significant positive correlation between Hedonism Lifestyle and Consumptive Behavior in students in Jombang. The existence of a significant positive relationship can be interpreted that the higher the hedonistic lifestyle of students, the higher the consumptive behavior. On the other hand, the lower the hedonistic lifestyle, the lower the consumptive behavior.
