The relationship between emotional maturity and juvenile delinquency

This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional maturity and juvenile delinquency. The research method used is quantitative by involving 130 male and female students, the sampling technique used is purposive random sampling. Research data were collected using a scale of juvenile delinquency and emotional maturity scale. Based on the results of the calculation of Pearson's Product Moment Correlation analysis technique in the Statistical Package for Social Sciense (SPSS) Version 20 program. Based on the results of the calculation, the correlation coefficient value rxy is obtained at - 0.714, p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating that there is a significant negative relationship between emotional maturity and juvenile delinquency, namely the higher the emotional maturity, the lower the level of juvenile delinquency and vice versa. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the hypothesis of this study is accepted.
