Abstract
ASEAN economic community in establishing relations with other countries, especially China. Belt And Road Initiative mega project. modern silk road construction project. In this case, Indonesia is part of the maritime silk route that connects China to Southeast Asia. The cooperation carried out in the Belt and Road Initiative takes 2 forms, namely providing investment to cooperation partner countries for infrastructure development. Qualitative research methods are research methods based on postpositivist philosophy, used to research the conditions of natural objects, (as opposed to experiments ) where the researcher is the key instrument, data collection techniques are carried out in a triangulated (combined) manner, data analysis is inductive/qualitative, and qualitative research results emphasize the meaning of generalizations. Bilateral relations between Indonesia and China are experiencing rapid progress with increasing cooperation to become a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership . for trade, investment, tourism, education and cultural purposes. The Indonesian government encourages Chinese investment in the Master Plan for the Acceleration and Expansion of Indonesia's Economic Development project. The Belt and Road Initiative bases China's economic strength on infrastructure development, economic globalization, political influence, and military strength. Increased certainty for Indonesia's superior products in the Chinese market. With the globalization of free trade agreements, there are no longer any obstacles created by a country in carrying out trade transactions with other countries. Regarding China's increasingly rapid and increasingly aggressive development in various regions, including Southeast Asia. Economic improvement which continues to rise, China's political and security policies then become more open with the formation of strategic partnerships with other countries.
