Abstract

ABSTRACTION
M. Imam Baihaqi, NIM : 202004010019 : Implementation of Khitobah Activities in Increasing Students' Self-Confidence at MTs Al-Ikhlas Pengalangan Jogoroto Jombang, Islamic Religious Education Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Religion, Darul Ulum University, Jombang, 2024.
The topic of this research is about how to implement Khitobah activities in increasing students' self-confidence in the MTs Al-Ikhlas Pengalangan Jogoroto Jombang environment. This research aims to determine the implementation and factors that influence students' self-confidence at MTs Al-Ikhlas Pengalangan Jogoroto Jombang.
This research is qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive approach located at MTs Al-Ikhlas Pengalangan Jogoroto Jombang.
The data sources for this research were obtained from the Head of the Madrasah, the teacher in charge of the sermon activities, the accompanying teacher for the sermon activities and representatives of MTs Al-Ikhlas students through data collection techniques, interviews and documentation, then the data was analyzed by means of data reduction, data presentation and withdrawal. Conclusion.
The results of this research show that: (1) The implementation of special Friday activities or khitobah at Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Al-Ikhlas Pengalangan Jogoroto Jombang has proven to have a significant influence in increasing students' self-confidence. The aspects or criteria that are assessed include aspects of courage in conveying opinions or ability in putting together words, aspects of the material presented. (2) The factors that influence students' self-confidence in increasing students' self-confidence when participating in sermon activities include the family environment, the madrasa environment and the surrounding community environment. Apart from that, the role of the teacher is also very important and has a big influence on increasing self-confidence. student. Teachers provide guidance, motivation and appreciation for students who have carried out the sermon well. (3) There is a difference between students who actively participate in khitobah activities and students who do not actively participate in khitobah activities. Students who have high self-confidence will tend to be calmer compared to students who are not confident or less confident in their potential. . The teacher as an educator plays an important role in instilling character values in students through the guidance of the special Friday program or khitobah, from this it is hoped that the character that emerges will be the character of hard work, creativity, discipline and responsibility. So that instilling character values in students can run well and optimally.
