Muhammad Chafi Asadal Haq: The Effectiveness of the Ummi Qur’an Reading Method on the Ability to Read the Qur'an of Class V Students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 1 Jombang. Islamic Religious Education Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Religion, Darul Ulum University, Jombang, 2024.
This research aims to determine the Effectiveness of the Ummi Qur’an Reading Method on the Ability to Read the Qur'an of Class V Students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 1 Jombang.
This research is quantitative research with a correlative approach. The population of this research were all 244 students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 1 Jombang class V, from which a sample of 50 students was taken. The data collection method is observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. Meanwhile, the data analysis uses statistical methods with the product moment correlation formula. The results of this study indicate that based on product moment correlation analysis the effectiveness of the Ummi Qur’an reading method has a level of correlation with the ability to read the Al-Qur'an of class V students with a correlation index (rxy) = 0.663 and these results can be interpreted at a significance level of 5% = 0, 2787 and whereas at the 1% level = 0.3610. So it can be seen that rxy is greater than the significant level, then (H0) which states that the Ummi Qur’an reading method is ineffective in the ability to read the Al-Qur'an for class V students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 1 Jombang is rejected. Meanwhile the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. So the test results above show that there is a positive influence on the Effectiveness of the Ummi Qur’an Reading Method on the Ability to Read the Qur'an of Class V Students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 1 Jombang.
