Abstract

Character learning is the most important problem that has also been a human challenge throughout its history to the formation of behavior. Because character education is the process of fostering children's morals so that they become noble people (ethical). And the process cannot be separated from life coaching in total student learning. The focus of research includes: (1) How is the implementation of character learning towards oneself in the book of Adabul 'alim wal muta'allim in Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Qur'an? (2) How is the implementation of character learning for teachers in the book of Adabul 'alim wal muta'allim in Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Qur'an? (3) How is the implementation of character learning on the lessons in the book of Adabul 'alim wal muta'allim in Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Qur'an.
The objectives of the study include: (1) describing ethical learning of oneself in the book Adabul 'alim wal muta'allim in Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Qur'an. (2) describe the learning of ethics to teachers in the book Adabul 'alim wal muta'allim in Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Qur'an. (3) describe the learning of ethics on the lessons in the book of Adabul 'alim wal muta'allim in Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Qur'an.
This research method uses qualitative research with the type of field research (field researct). The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. The data collection method uses observation, interviews, and documentation. Technical data analysis uses the qualitative descriptive model of Miles Huberman which includes: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Data validity using source triangulation and techniques.
The results of this study are (1) Character cultivation towards oneself which is emphasized on the process of habituation to oneself. (2) Instilling student character towards teachers which is emphasized in the process of instilling exemplary aspects. (3) Instilling character in lessons that emphasize the process of discipline and diligent towards oneself
