Abstract

Flooding is a condition of natural disaster phenomena that has a relationship with the amount of damage in terms of life and material. Drainage system is a series of water structures that function to reduce and/or remove excess water from a land or area, so that the land can be used optimally. The residential area on Jalan Ketintang Madya, Wonokromo District, Surabaya City is a densely populated area. The small drainage capacity and the large amount of sediment in the drainage cause inundation/flooding. Other problems also arise from household waste water. Based on the data, flooding occurred in several channels in the city of Surabaya, such as Jalan Ketintang Madya .
The evaluation was carried out in the form of an analysis of the discharge of each drainage channel in the entire study area. In this study, rain plays an important role in the evaluation and planning of urban drainage. The data required are rainfall data, land use data and topographic data.
The analysis was carried out to determine the magnitude of the flood discharge as a planned discharge, to determine the condition of the existing drainage system in areas that have the potential for flooding. reference material for further research related to this problem
