Abstract

Along with the rapid development of the Pancasila Fort Road area in Mojokerto City, urban road problems emerged, namely the problem of traffic jams along it. One of the factors that have the most influence on the problem of traffic congestion that occurs along Jalan Benteng Pancasila is, because of the side barriers along the road.
A study on the performance of the Jalan Benteng Pancasila section is needed to find solutions to existing problems. The study carried out is research or research by calculating the road capacity in existing and planned conditions. Data collection was carried out by conducting a survey for 3 days (starting from 6.00 am to 21.00 pm) and from the results of this survey, primary data were obtained in the form of traffic volume data, side obstacle data and road geometric data. Data processing was carried out using the 2014 Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI 2014) method where the degree of saturation (DJ) was an indicator of traffic behavior on the Benteng Pancasila road, Mojokerto City.
Based on the results of the study, it was found that the performance of Jalan Benteng Pancasila was feasible because the highest value of the Degree of Saturation (Dj) that occurred was 0.56. The highest peak average traffic volume is 1396.90 skr/hour while the highest side friction value is 333.93 skr/hour and is included in the Medium Side Barrier Class. For the Basic Capacity of the Existing Pancasila Fort Road of 2480.41 skr/hour with the Existing Travel Speed of 39.00 km/hour.
