Abstract
Afvour Gabus which passes through Losari Hamlet, Rejoagung Village, Ploso District, Jombang Regency is one of the rivers that has a very important function, surrounded by residential areas and vast rice fields so that it demands the maximum function of the river. Currently, the cross-sectional conditions in Afvour Gabus have largely reduced its capacity due to the large amount of sedimentation deposits and besides that, at Afvor Gabus there is a confluence of water flows (intersections) from Afvor Gabus, causing slow water flow. The sedimentation of the river and the intersection of the water flow causes the capacity of the river to decrease, resulting in overflow of river water and is the main cause of flooding in residential areas and people's rice fields.
The data needed is in the form of rainfall data and existing discharge. Hourly rain intensity was obtained from the data of the annual maximum daily rainfall of the Rejoagung rain station, Tapen which was transformed using the Gumble Method formula. Existing discharge is obtained using the field measurement method while the planned discharge for Q10 years uses the Weduwen method.
From the studies and calculations that have been carried out, the solution to this problem is the need to strengthen the embankment to cope with flooding in Afvour Gabus. The results obtained are as follows: Existing debit (Qex) = 17,374 /sec Planned debit (Qrenc) = 28,082 m3/sec. Cork Afvor Sediment Volume = 19,257 m³ , New Channel cross-sectional dimensions profile b1=10 m, b2=8.00 m and h= 2.5 m. Q = A .V = 22.50 x 1.5 = 33.75 m3/s.
